Twilight...

I'm halfway through a book called, "Twilight", by Stephenie Meyers. (http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/twilight.html ) So far..I love it. I have to admit, when I first heard about it through a friend, I wasn't sure if I'd pick it up and read it. In fact, it stayed on my bedside table for about 2 weeks. Just sitting there. And then one night, the kids were asleep, I had absolutely nothing else to do, so I decided to just read the first chapter and see if it held my attention. (trust me on this..that's a hard thing to do! :D) And lo and behold! It did! Now I'm halfway through and just counting down the hours until 'quiet time' so I can continue reading it.

I'm not sure if I should go into detail on what this book is about, because I think that was the very thing that turned me off to it..however..maybe a little description wouldn't hurt, right? :D Ok..here we go. (I got this summary from another website.)

Isabelle Swans move to Forks, a small perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she'd ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Isabella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Isabella, the person Edward holds most dear.

Oh..and in a few short months, you will be able to see the MOVIE based on this book. Sweeeeeeet! :D

Happy Reading! :D

Welcome!!

So I have recently just gotten back in the habit of reading~
While we were on our vacation in Roatan Honduras, the place where we stayed had a big drawer full of books~ Take a book, leave a book,~ So I took one and began to read it. I only read about 5 chapters while we were there, and it took me about 5 more weeks before I picked it up again and finished it. Just after I finished, I picked up another book and read it in a few days~ I have been reminded how much I love to take the time to read~ So I started thinking about sharing books...
Take a book, leave a book.
I have the last 2 books that I read that I would love to send your way if you are interested~
The 2 books I have right now are
"Bones to Ashes"
and
"The Alchemist"
Anyone interested in sharing books???
We can start sending them around.
My friend Nicole also sent me a link to join a site called www.goodreads.com
where you can post and review your books. Anyways, I thought this could all be fun, so I started a blog for this specifically and can invite anyone to post on that blog if you'd like to share books are receive books, or review etc....
